Class of 2020 Officers Sophomore Year
President
Amanda Nichols
I am Amanda Nichols and I am running for class president for our sophomore year. As a considerably well-rounded student, I believe that I will be able to personally connect with the interests and understand the struggles of those in the student body. I am a member of the girl’s field hockey team, an active participant in the music department, a volunteer at my church, and a conscientious student when it comes to completing work and maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Much like my peers I want to have a bright future, not only here at Southwestern, but in my future endeavors in marketing and communications. Let’s make the next 3 years at South Western High School the greatest they can be for every single student in the Class of 2020. Thank you. |
Vice-President
Grace DiRienzo
I really hope you vote for me to be your class vice president next year. I was vice president this year, so I have the experience to be able to know what to do to come up with our money. I will always bring new and exciting ideas. I am very involved in many different clubs so I will know how to relate to everyone in the school as I will also care about all of your opinions in decision making for fundraisers. I know numerous things about the school’s fundraisers and activities held so I have an excellent idea on what works and what doesn’t. Our class officers this year have done a great job fundraising and I hope to help continue this for the years to come. I love being a part of making a change in our school and I really hope you take the time to vote for me for your class vice president again. |
Secretary
Tori Keefauver
My name is Tori Keefauver and I am interested in being the freshman class secretary. I feel that I am a great fit for this position, as I have a variety of leadership experience. I have held various officer positions before, with a strong background is secretarial skills. Leadership training seminars and conferences have taught me the skills I need in order to become a better leader in my school and community. I feel that by choosing me for class secretary we will be able to have a successful class that will make an impact when we graduate in four short years. Even though it might not seem like it, the things we do now will heavily affect the rest of our high school experience, and I believe that I can help guide you through that if you choose me as your secretary. |
Treasurer
Alexis Jones
My name is Alexis Jones and I am running to be on the Class of 2020 Officer Team as your 2017-2018 treasurer. Over the past year, I have had the pleasure to be involved in many extra curriculars that have built up my leadership capabilities and make me an excellent candidate. One extra curricular that has helped me grow as a leader is Phoenix Staff. I am currently the editor for the magazine and the tasks of organizing agendas, creating spreadsheets, editing layout, etc. have helped develop my organizational skills. Another set of skills that I have also used as editor are accuracy and detail. These skills will help me be successful in this position. I am also an active member of Student Council. In order for this organization to thrive new ideas need to be implemented and hard work needs to be a priority for every member. Being involved in Student Council has allowed my mind to cultivate. This will be a useful skill because in order to raise money new ideas need to arise and prosper within our class. Being a part of this organization has also developed my leadership skills. I have learned new methods to leading a team that I believe would be beneficial when leading our class of 2020. I feel that I am the best applicant for this position and would be able to make a lasting impact within in our class if you vote me as your treasurer for the Class of 2020. |
